Chadwick’s Family Butchers sell high quality, organic and rare breed meat from their shop in Balham, South West London.
Chadwicks needed to re-brand to help position themselves as the first choice for a quality butcher in South London. The re-brand started with a new logo and colour palette and moved on to a new e-commerce website, along with other online marketing and then on to brochures and leaflets.
They pride themselves on the highest quality meat, sourced locally and from trusted sources, so the new image needed to reflect that. We began by re-designing their logo with a personalised handwritten font and introducing a new colour palette of purple and gold, which traditionally reflects quality. The new brand then further developed by designing the new website, where we collected images from Gary and his family showing their shop and the people who work there. We used this as the starting point for creating the slideshow on the home page, as we wanted the friendly and trust worthy family heritage to be the main focus, and this worked really well with a layered navigation bar and tabs to show the different areas on the site.
The online shop is regularly updated by Gary and his family and is easy to maintain through WordPress. The second phase after the launch of the website moved on to skinning and integrating social media and then brochures and leaflets.
The overall look of the new branding really puts across the high quality nature of Chadwicks produce, and we saw a significant increase in web traffic, which proves the re-brand has worked, along with our search engine optimisation. Since the initial work we did for Chadwicks we continued to grow the brand through a website redesign making it responsive and further marketing, we were delighted to hear that over the last year Chadwicks has seen 70% increase in sales. Chadwicks are delighted with the results and thier customers are praising the new look with their custom. We have recently launched a smart phone app which we hope will help grow the reach of the brand further.
